The Ground Truth
Q1 2026 Updates from Medius Earth (Hasten Forestry India Pvt. Ltd.)
The planet does not negotiate with optimists or pessimists. The biophysical realities of carbon and climate are indifferent to market sentiment — and that, precisely, is the point.
Carbon markets may feel uncertain, even fragile, in this moment. But they remain one of the few economic systems we have that can translate climate action into something measurable, fundable, and scalable. That was true when markets were experimental. It remains true now, as they grow more complex—and more consequential.
You can think of climate like your bank account. It doesn’t respond to optimism (“I’ll save more next month”) or pessimism (“what’s the point?”). It responds to Transactions. Deposits. Withdrawals. Numbers that add up.
Carbon works the same way. And right now, the math is non-negotiable.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN QUIETLY BUILDING
Think of restoration like running a large logistics operation. If your data sits in notebooks, WhatsApp messages, and scattered spreadsheets, you’re not running a system—you’re managing chaos. So we built the equivalent of a control tower for climate projects.
So this quarter, we launched:
Live Project Dashboards - Like tracking a delivery in real time—except that it’s saplings, survival rates, daily operations and site progress.
A Unified Portal - One place where everything lives. No more “latest version” confusion.
Geospatial Intelligence Platform - Satellite to soil—zooming from landscape-level patterns to canopy-level detail.
Carbon Sequestration Calculator - Grounded in VM0047 methodology. Because projections should behave like engineering, not optimism.
AI-Powered Field Data Collection - Imagine field teams sending a voice note or photo—and it instantly becomes structured, usable data.
Together, these tools do one thing: They replace assumption with evidence.
Why this matters?
Every stakeholder— landowner, corporate, NGO, investor—needs the same thing: A single source of truth that connects financial inputs → ecological outcomes → carbon impact.
Not stitched together after the fact. Built into the system from day one, ready to feed ESG and Sustainability disclosures.
That’s where we operate. Not on narratives but On Ground Truth.

Built with purpose. Rooted in restoration. Powered by Medius Earth.
PROJECTS THIS QUARTER
Project Vaaranavanam — Restoration at Scale (Video)
Imagine clearing a cluttered room before you can redesign it. At Vaaranavanam, that meant removing invasive Lantana camara before bringing life back. The result:
- 50,000 native saplings of trees, shrubs and herbs, following a multi-strata natural forest design.
- 50 hectares of restored land.
Not just planting trees—but resetting an ecosystem so it can sustain itself.
Measuring what already exists — tree by tree (Carbon Stock Quantification)
A manufacturing client asked a deceptively simple question: “How much carbon do the trees on our campuses actually store?” It’s like asking, “What’s the value of everything in my house?”—and expecting a precise answer.
We mapped, measured, and quantified every tree across sites, 3,319 to be precise. The outcome wasn’t just data—it was defensible, audit-ready numbers that strengthened their BRSR disclosures.
Because in climate, estimates are opinions. Measurements are decisions.
Restoration Diligence across Southern India
Before you build a house, you survey the land. Restoration is no different.
Across multiple sites, we conducted baselining, ecological assessments, and planting design for a client—ensuring that what gets planted will survive, grow, and deliver real impact.
Because planting is easy. Growing is the real work.
WHERE THE CONVERSATION IS SHIFTING
Treescapes 2026 — Delhi
At Treescapes 2026 in Delhi, something felt different. The conversation is moving beyond “we should plant more trees” to “where, how, and what kind of trees actually work.” Trees outside forests—on farms, along highways, within cities—are finally being seen for what they are: distributed climate infrastructure. Not symbolic. Functional.
Prakriti 2026 — Indian Carbon Markets Conference, Delhi
At Prakriti 2026 — Indian Carbon Markets Conference, the signal was clear: India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) going live in 2026 isn’t just policy. It’s infrastructure for a new kind of market. And markets, when built right, reward credibility.
MOMENTUM BUILDING
CEEZER Cohort - selected as one of six developers in CEEZER’s global cohort of carbon project developers
Global Carbon Warriors - Named dMRV provider for biochar carbon removal projects in India
Impact Edge - partnered with Impact Edge to provide enterprise sustainability management solutions
TEAM
We took a pause in the Himalayas. Because building systems that work on the ground requires stepping away from the ground sometimes. Clarity isn’t a luxury in this work. It’s a requirement.
From the News -
India-South Korea sign Article 6.2 deal, further advancing international cooperation. South Korea is the second country after Japan (JCM) to have signed an agreement with India.

Wonderful work being done by the team Medius Earth. Keep evolving.
incredible growth! can't wait to see more !
